The SouthShore Recovery Club, founded in 2024, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating in the south shore of Tampa Bay, Florida supporting our communities - focusing on the people and their families, with Substance Use Disorders (SUD). The club is also registered as the SouthShore Sober Club.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, social environment for people in recovery and committed to sobriety. The Club is designed to be an alcohol and drug-free community where individuals and their families, affected by substance use disorders, can attend recovery meetings, enjoy social activities, and be nurtured in a healthy community-centered environment.
We host a variety of outreach programs and events, in our community, to support people with Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
We are not a rehabilitation center and do not provide medical or healthcare services. Our goal is to serve as a social support community, helping people work toward a fulfilling life in recovery.
This video provides an overview of our mission and fundraising initiatives. We are now seeking grants, corporate sponsors, benefactors and donors who can help us support recovery initiatives in our communities with a sober hub in the South Shore of Tampa Bay. We are in the process of securing funding to obtain a physical location to serve people in recovery, and their families, in the South Shore of Tampa Bay. >>LEARN MORE ABOUT US

After all, many people who have substance abuse disorders may have never experienced a healthy, joyful life. They often struggle with the question, "How can I live a sober life?" Our experience shows that 12 step programs are key, but so is access and social interaction with like-minded people in recovery. Learn how this club is dedicated to answering that question. The People in Sobriety
Unfortunately, many people leave hospitals, rehab, or jails with the best of intentions but lack direction or a social environment that supports a sober lifestyle. Our goal is to provide a safe haven and community, that supports long term sobriety.
Families & Young People
Families, as well as the alcoholic or addict, need support too! So, our goal is to provide meetings, social events, and activities that support the entire family's recovery including Al-Anon, Al-Ateen and more!
The Lack of Safe Spaces
Many 12 step programs like AA, NA, Al-Anon and ACOA meet in church or community centers, when available. Unfortunately, not only is this space harder and harder to find, but the cost to rent these facilities may be prohibitive to the volunteers and people that seek these vital resources.
The Location
We are seeking to buy or build a facility that will be focused on providing a safe place for meetings, social events, and quiet reflection for those in recovery. The desired location would be able to provide:
